| A break from the norm, we attended a race on a Wednesday night, night 3 of the Wild West Shootout in Casa Grande. e7 Modified drivers RC Whitwell and Nick Oneil took to a muddy slippery track in Heat 1. It proved to work in Oneil's favor as he made the transfer with a 4th place finish. Whitwell lost a motor on the last lap. Whitwell's team was able to change the motor out to get him into the B-Main, in which he won. The main event saw some exciting racing. In the end, RC was able to bring home second from a mid pack start, and Nick made a hard charge from the back of the pack (on a questionable call by officials) to finish 8th. Great job guys and good luck this weekend. |
